Microsoft Dynamics GP Integrate with Bar-Coding and Scanning Systems

In the supply chain and logistics industry today, companies are trying to improve processes in every facet of their business. Streamlining processes leads to resource availability, and ultimately a quicker supply chain. However, many companies are not aware that Microsoft Dynamics GP has the ability to integrate with several bar-coding and scanning systems. This integration can assist in the automation of many of the manual processes performed in the warehouse, such as:
- Shipping and Order Fulfillment Processes – Most bar-coding systems work through an automatic fulfillment process at the point of scan. This will trigger the pick, pack, and ship process in the warehouse once the order is fulfilled. By using Microsoft Dynamics GP bar-coding integration, you will have a more accurate fulfillment process and pick, pack and shipping will become automated.
- Receiving Processes – When goods come into the warehouse, they can be scanned at the receiving dock, and automatically entered into the Microsoft Dynamics Purchasing Module to match against your open Purchase Orders. This will bypass the transition of physically Receiving documents throughout an organization, hence, reducing time of data entry and waiting for the documents to hit your desk.
- Other Processes - Inventory Cycle counts, Inventory Transfers, Consignment, Light Assembly, and Retail Management.
